According to Wikipedia.org, Mooncake Festival is………………The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a popular East Asian tradition of Chinese origin, dating back over 3,000 years to moon worship in China’s Shang Dynasty, that spread to neighbouring cultures like
Japan. It was first called Mid-Autumn festival in the Zhou Dynasty. In Malaysia and Singapore, it is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival. In both South Korea and North Korea, the festival is called chuseok as a harvest festival, and is the biggest public holiday.
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar (usually around mid- or late-September in the Gregorian calendar), a date that parallels the Autumn and Spring Equinoxes of the solar calendar. The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties.Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional customs, such as:
Burning incense in reverence to deities including Chang’e (嫦娥)
Planting Mid-Autumn trees
Collecting dandelion leaves and distributing them evenly among family members
Fire Dragon Dances
Ning Ning celebrated twice for the Lantern Festival. She joined her cousins to celebrate in a kindergarten 2 weeks ago and we celebrated at Gurney Drive on 14 Sept. Lot of people were there and she really enjoyed the atmosphere.
This song, 月亮代表我的心 is sincerely dedicated to mimi. Hope mimi likes it though it was an old song…..:)

We accompanied ye ye (爷爷)to bus station at Butterworth by using Ferry. Ning Ning was quite excited and so active in the ferry, walked here and there…….curious about the sea……..
It was quite tiring hugging her from the jetty to ferry and back to jetty.
We received comments from our friends about not updating the blog for quite some times. Yup, it has been more than a month. Really sorry for that. We are busy with so many matters recently. Anyway, we are able to snap some of Ning Ning’s photos and movie in July and August 08.
This movie was taken on 23 July 08. She was so playful and active…..U can imagine how active she is after 1.5 months??
