My parents and I brought her to Lam Wah Ee Hospital for first medical check-up after a week she was born. Her weight increased 0.2 kg to 3.3 kg but length still the same. Head circumference increased 0.5 cm to 35 cm. The confinement auntie said she is not so tall. I would prefer her height is around 165 cm when she grows up. :)

Jessie and baby Chern Ning discharged from hospital on 20 May @ 2pm and Jessie’s mum brought baby Chern Ning back to our house. At around 3:30pm, I fetched confinement auntie to our house and she will work for 1-month in our house, taking care of Jessie and baby. She is really good and we would like to recommend her service to anyone who requires it.

Baby Chern Ning is the first grandchild and the 6th family member in Soon’s family. My parents will take care of her when Jessie starts to work in mid-July. I will interview my parents on their feeling of becoming grandparents and will post an article later…….

Our baby girl was born on 18 May 2007 at Lam Wah Ee Hospital. She was 3.1 kg (weight), 48 cm (length) and 34.5 cm (head circumference).

A day before delivery, we went for shopping at 8pm+ with my parents and brother (he came back from KL). Jessie didn’t feel the sign of delivery. When we back home, she felt her stomach was getting painful and we referred to the pregnancy handbook. It showed the sign of delivery. Jessie quickly rang her sister for advice and she advised her to admit immediately.

We arranged the luggage and start the journey and we reached Lam Wah Ee Hospital at 2:00 am.

I witnessed the whole delivery process and I would like to thank my wife, Jessie for delivering a baby girl to our family. I understand that it was a very very very……..painful experience. Jessie was Great !! Although she felt tired and lack of energy to push ….half way………she made it at the end. Thanks God !! Jessie and baby was fine.

Jessie stayed 3 days 2 nights at Lam Wah Ee Hospital. I have to accompany her and slept on the sofa as she afraid to sleep alone in the private room.

A few months before delivery, Jessie dreamed of her name and after some discussions with our parents, we finally decided to stick to this name. It is a very special and meaningful name for her. Jessie’s friend, Chiu Ping said her name sounds like the name of an actress in “qiong yao” novel. :)
